Day 200… up early on a Monday morning to JAPANESE TRAIN PEAK HOUR! Sensational experience being crushed into the train! After we exhale and disembark, it’s to the fish markets! The interesting thing here is the markets are huge and busy, but are required cleaner and nicer smelling than ANY other fish market I’ve been to… Japan really knows how to keep clean! After we visit a small nearby shrine before returning to base. There our guide helps me mail some souvenirs home then i head out with a fellow traveller to the local markets, Ueno park for more shrine calligraphy and and spotting Dantes Gates of Hell. At each shrine here after you purchase a gatefolded book, for a donation each temple offers a unique calligraphy page hand drawn/painted… an amazing keepsake! Then we return to kill a little time at a cat cafe before dinner. Tokyo has limited space and not everyone can have a pet, so they have cafes where pets roam free and you can go there to pat them. We did a cat café which was nice, but there are also bunny cafes and owl ones!
