Day 176… A casual morning as we wake for an included home cooked brekky by our home caretaker Helen #3 then join our local guide Helen #4 for a walking tour of some of the sights such as the local Kremlin exterior, the cool Wooden Architecture Museum, trading square, market and monasteries (approx 3 hrs). After we re-visit Helen #2 for a huuuge Russian lunch before we transfer to Moscow by private van (approx 4 hrs). From Moscow’s Leningradskiy railway station, we board our overnight train to Novgorod (approx 8 hrs).
Trains on this journey are simple but comfortable. We travel 2nd class (four berths per compartment) on this trip…it ain’t great… but I am sure to have worse on the asian leg of the trip
