GREECE CRUISE, start day 165

Day 165… OK… It’s time for some sun-soaked revelry in the miraculous Aegean as I go on my first ever cruise! Thankfully I woke up in time to catch an early transfer from Athens to the port and I have an hour to spare… till the concierge calls me seconds later at brekky telling me to be ready in 5 mins… I FORGOT THE TIME CHANGE! So a quick juice and off i go. When we get there… I’m super excited as I see my boat moored and its HUUUUGE! I board, check into my private cabin and buy myself the 4 day unlimited non-alcoholic drinks package. It’s worth it and the few beers I would drink don’t justify the added cost. I can go without for a while. First thingss first its organise my cabin and have a good, long shower. Change of clothes and we are good to go for a 4-day adventure that will take me to six legendary islands like Patmos, Rhodes, Crete and Santorini.

The Celestyal Olympia, my giant ship and Aegean queen, is a cozy floating resort. We call first at Mykonos, an island so beautiful you’ll think you’ve walked into a postcard or painting. I befreind some older Aussies on a tour and thier guide agrees to let me tag along foe free to enjoy its cool breezes and stroll the picturesque alleys of Mykonos Town as well as thier signature windmills and whitewashed houses with azure blue trim. After the sun slips into the sea, I head back to the ship to enjoy the floating nightlife. After an awesome buffet dinner i retreat to one of the bars to watch the opening night variety show which was really cool… music and dancing from a dozen different countries. Then to bed as from Mykonos we sail overnight to arrive for breakfast in Turkey.
