Day 140… last hours in good old Amsterdam started out as a sort souvenirs and re-pack day… then its local buses time to head out and see the traditional windmills and village. I finally got to see the beautiful and somehow majestic dutch windmills in operation, followed by some amazing dutch iced chocolate and Dutch dark chocolate in the shape of an old saw… complete with chocolate dust “rust”. After the tasty stroll down memory lane (the chocolate tools reminded me dead to rights of dad’s tool shed) I head on over to checkout… CLOGS! Aaand may i say it was an little underwhelming only because they start with a block of wood and an old tool saying “this is how we make em all traditional like!”… make a single cut then go “but this here machine can knock one out in no time!” Now i know it’s still an olde timey machine… but some of the sheen is lost in the demo. Anyway… after that it’s back to base to mail some stuff home, then off to the …
