Day 129… Today i visit the labyrinthine streets of the old Gothic Quarter near the Picasso Museumthe with my roomie, and check out the amazing (&occasionally confronting) Museum of Modern European Art. After that we jump the bus to see Gaudi’s bizarre La Sagrada Familia Cathedral, possibly the most iconic landmark in this city rich with famous sights. Then go to the big park nere full of Gaudi sculptures… inc the iconic dragon… before returni g to wander the Rambla – the tree-lined pedestrian boulevard. After a cheap McDinner thanks to a handy voucher, it’s off to the amazing huge Barcelona Fountain which dances to lights and music and an absolute THRONG of human beings. Then… midnight… and I return to pumpkin state in my hosel.
