Day 72 Mesa Verde National Park
Now we continue on to Mesa Verde National Park. Total driving distance is about 430 km (approx 6.5 hrs). Lots of van-based reading on e-reader, plants v zombies and other tablet app shenanigans. Once there in Mesa Verde National Park we get to view the largest and best-preserved cliff dwellings of the Anasazi Indians. It protects over 4,000 known archaeological sites, including 600 cliff dwellings. These sites are some of the most notable and best preserved in the US. Exploring the cliff dwellings is nothing short of amazing… some of the coolest ruins I have seen since Central America. Check into our camp ground and enjoy the pool for a few hours before hitting the hay.
