Day 63

Day 63 Appalachian Mountains
Journey into the breathtaking scenery of the Appalachian Mountains… totally obscured by rain and fog. Shenandoah National Park is one of the highest and most scenic portions of the Appalachian Mountains. Also apparently got to be in a John Denver song here… Blue Ridge Mountains… Shanendoah River. At least it was a chance to stop to stretch my legs under the impressive oak trees and admire the gorgeous little waterfall. Then a quick shop stop for groceries at Walmart (disappointingly free of any Walmartians) where i pick up a pump and inflatable air mattress (screw this camping crap) and we are off to the next campsite. Also I get to be the proud owner of an actual spider bite. Bigger than a mozzie… but zero pin or itching. Our guide checked it… its standard small spider in camp stuff. Just looks nasty.
