Day 6, pt 2: Lunch was Peruvian Maccas – i had the McNifica coz it sounded cool. Then it’s off to the Sacsayhuaman Fortress ruins – built of enormous stone blocks expertly shaped by the Incas. It is strategically located, also at the top of a hill that affords I an incredible panorama of the city. The evening was had with new friends Barbara & Konrad at the restaurant TUPANAS which had an ENORmous bistro, (I got to try both alpaca & guinea pig meat) plus an awesome traditional band for 3 hours & dancers in traditional clothes (7 changes!) I danced at the end with the demon-dressed dancing girl & then off to bed!
